Registration

  • Registrations must be made using the on-line site from Midwest Events, except for roll-over, comp, and charity slot entries. Last year registration was full by July 15th.
  • Only one entry per person either individual or in a team is permitted.
  • Participants must have a USAT license.
    • You may purchase a one-day USAT license when registering for the race at cost of $10, which is automatically added to your total on-line.
    • Athletes holding a valid USAT license should enter their membership number when registering on-line to avoid purchasing a one-day USAT license.
    • All participants on a relay team are required to have a USAT license.
  • Participants must be 16 years of age or older on race day. No exceptions
  • An athlete’s age for age group awards will be the age of the athlete on December 31, 2008. Example, if you were born in the year 1968, your USAT race age is 40.
  • Participants requesting to be added to the open/elite wave must check the box on the on-line form. Race Director will make the determination of granting the request based on athletes current and past performances. Per USAT rules, athletes participating in the open/elite wave DO NOT qualify for age group awards and are only eligible for overall awards. Age Group athletes are only eligible for age group awards.
  • There are NO refunds. Roll over of entries for medical or personal reasons must be requested of and approved by the Race Director by August 1, 2008.
  • Transfer of entry to another person must be requested of and approved by the Race Director by July 15, 2008. Entrant will be responsible for informing the Race Director of the athlete you are transferring your entry to and they must meet the registration requirements. Turtleman Triathlon will not make refunds. That is the matter for the athletes to work out. A $15 surcharge for transfer of entry must be paid to the Turtleman Triathlon prior packet pick-up.
  • Transfer of entry from individual to team or team to individual must be requested of and approved by the Race Director by July 15, 2008 based on availability of slots. A $15 surcharge for transfer of entry must be paid to the Turtleman Triathlon prior packet pick-up.
  • Persons under the age of 18 years old must have the consent of parents or legal guardians.

Roll-over and Comp entries will be mailed out in late March. The registration form and wavier must be signed and returned by July 15th to hold your entry. These entries are only available to pre-qualified athletes as determined by the race management.

Charity Entries will be available after on-line entries are full. Charity entries will be $200 for individuals and $350 for teams. Persons wishing to register by Charity Entry prior to race being full may contact the Race Director. All funds from the Charity Entries go directly to either Tree Ortho or Tree Trust as requested by the athlete. Charity Entries will receive special shirts.


Packet Pickup

Thursday, August 7th from 4-6 pm at Gear West Bike

Friday, August 8th from 4-8 pm at the Shoreview Community Center

There will be a Pre-Race Meeting held at 4PM & 6PM at the on Friday at the community center to review the course conditions and ask questions.

  • Race day packet pickup is only available to athletes living outside the seven county metro areas and must be requested and approved prior to August 5th by the Race Director.  All race packets must be picked up by 7:30AM of race day.
  • You must pick up your own packet. 
  • ALL members of a relay team must pick up their own packet. 
  • At packet pickup you must present a government issued photo ID.  Present your USAT license, if you are an active USAT member and didn’t purchase a one day license. If you become a USAT member after purchasing a one day license, you will receive a $10 rebate at packet pick-up upon presenting a valid USAT membership card.
  • Once you have presented your photo ID we will be putting a wrist band on you that you will need to be wearing in order to get your chip and into the swim start.  Once you have completed the race and collected your items out of transition you may take it off.
